On December 10th, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution held their annual year end Gala. An article was previously shared with chronicled the activities and the awards presented to members for their selfless contributions.

So, the Christmas season is in full swing. For many of us, the holidays are about the magic of Christmas. Watching our children and grandchildren experience the wonder of the season is really rewarding.
It is a special time for all, and it fills our hearts with the warmth of the coming of Christ, time with family and friends and the wonderful experiences we have both giving and receiving.
Next is the New Year. Time to dust off last years Goals and update for the coming year.

On Thursday December 22nd, 2022, the last Cincinnati area Naturalization was held.
There were 49 new US citizens sworn in as US Citizens. These 49 represented 33 countries of origin.

In recognition of the upcoming Wreaths Across America Ceremonies to be conducted nationwide on Saturday, December 17, OHSSAR President Jack Bredenfoerder and First Lady Laurie Bredenfoerder attended the Wreaths Across America Kick-off Ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse on Monday, December 12.
On Saturday December 17th on a cold wind swept day, members of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in a wreath laying ceremony.
On Saturday December 17th at 12:00 there were more than 3200 celebrations going on all across the country. The Wreaths Across America is a grass roots effort to place ceremonial wreaths on fallen patriots graves.
In Middletown Ohio, there was a service at the Woodside Cemetery for this event.
We will be looking to “retire” the wreaths placed on the graves of fallen veterans.
The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in a Wreaths Across America (WAA) event at the Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio.
The Highlanders chapter sponsored a Wreaths Across America (WAA) event at the Ohio Veterans Home again this year.
