On Saturday December 17th on a cold wind swept day, members of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in a wreath laying ceremony.
This effort is called Wreaths Across America and there are currently over 3200 locations across America who participate in this event. All the ceremonies start at 12:00 Noon.

We thank all the civic groups (including SAR and DAR), volunteers, community leaders and citizens for coming out on this raw day to honor our nations veterans who sacrificed for us to earn and retain our individual rights to freedom. Thanks to those who donated money, supplies, vehicles and their time to make this event a success.
Gary Duffield from the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution represented our chapter at this event, one of many around the Cincinnati area.
Wreaths were placed on veterans graves by the event participants to commemorate their service and sacrifices. Each person placing a wreath on the grave was asked to hold a moment of silence, speak out loud the service persons name to remember them.
Taps was played and a commemorative wreath placed for each branch of service of our armed forces.
Overall a humbling and soulful experience.
