Speaker Series – September 5th, 2023 – Tomahawks & Guns: The Indian Wars & Leaders

On September 5th, 2023 we will welcome Ms. Kathy Creighton, Executive Director of the Butler County Historical Society to speak at our General Membership Meeting.

Ms. Creighton will speak about: “Tomahawks and Guns:  The Indian Wars and Leaders.  This topic will focus on the late 1700’s through the early 1800’s, where fighting between the Native Americans and the white settlers were common throughout the Northwest Territory.  Ms. Creighton will talk about the principal participants on both sides including Cornstalk, Little Turtle, Blue Jacket, Arthur St Clair and Anthony Wayne.

This topic is very relevant to the southwest Ohio region and history.

Please mark your calendars for September 5th, 2023 so you don’t miss this.  The plan is for this event to be hosted by the Montgomery Inn in downtown Montgomery.  The formal meeting will start at 7:00 PM, however please come and join us early at 5:30 PM for “meet and greet”, and order and enjoy the food and beverages at the Montgomery Inn.
