On Saturday August 5th, members of the Cincinnati Sons of the American Revolution participated in a Heritage History event at Sharon Woods Park History Center in Sharonville Ohio.
Our goal was to engage these visitors and address questions and share information about the military efforts of our countries patriots who fought for our countries independence from Great Britain.
The team set up a table complete with American Revolutionary War artifacts which were on display and available for viewing by the public who attended the event. They gave demonstrations of 18th Century weapons and household artifacts used during the Revolutionary War Days.
The Cincinnati SAR members who participated included Mike Gunn, Bob Bowers, Brad Jarard, Jeff Hartman and Tim Madden. A new Cincinnati SAR member Robert Rocky Jackson also stopped by with his charming spouse. Welcome!
Attending this event was a mix of families and individuals from the community.
It was a beautiful day and mother nature was kind to our members decked out in warm Rev War uniforms. For that we were grateful.
Sharing the story of what our ancestors went through and how they lived was our goal, and we were successful.
