Speaker Series – Highlanders SAR Chapter – Revolutionary War Patriot Memorial

The Highlanders Chapter of the SAR has embarked on a project to dedicate an American Revolution War Memorial in Hillsboro Ohio.

The project is in the design phase as we speak.

Gary Duffield, President of the Highlanders Chapter spoke to the Cincinnati Chapter of the SAR on Wednesday March 1st at our general members meeting.

The dedication of the completed project is scheduled for July 4th 2026 which coincides with the 250th Anniversary of the United States.

This memorial will list all Revolutionary War Patriots that have died or are buried in the area surrounding Highland County Ohio.  To date, they have the names of 93 patriots which were previously known.  Currently there may be another 125 new patriot names that are in various levels of validation.

Attached is a handout Gary shared with our group during his presentation.
