Recently they ran an article about the participation of black soldiers in the American Revolution.

Estimates of African-Americans participating in the American Revolutionary War range from 3,000 to 5,000 black soldiers served in the American military in the Revolution.

Scholars and historians continue to better determine the number who participated.
