The Cincinnati, OH and Lafayette KY Chapters of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) hereby announce the Grave Marking Ceremony and extend an invitation for a 2 PM event on October 16th, 2022 at the Barnes Family Cemetery.
We are honoring Revolutionary War Patriots
John J. Barnes & George L. Wolfe, Sr.
Both of these Patriots have a significant number of descendants, with many residing nearby this location.
Each of these two patriots was awarded a land grant of property as payment for their American Revolutionary War service.

Physical Cemetery Address is: Barnes Family Cemetery – 11020 Kentucky Route 36, Berry, Harrison County, KY.
Located about 12 miles south of the I-75 intersect at Williamstown on KY Route 36 towards Cynthiana, KY. Parking will be available south side farmlands across the highway from the Cemetery. GPS coordinates are: [38.4688395 -84.4449202]
The Color Guard Muster is 1 PM.
The Ceremony will include members of SAR in uniform, with appropriate musket salute and Color Guard presentation. This ceremony will include the pomp and
circumstance that one would have witnessed during the time of their
contemporaries.
