Constitution Day Luncheon – 9/10/22 – Keynote Speaker – Justice Sharon Kennedy

Justice Kennedy addresses the SAR/DAR participants

Saturday September 10th, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution were honored to have Ohio Supreme Court Justice Sharon L. Kennedy as our Keynote Speaker today for our Constitution Day Luncheon.

Her topic for her presentation was:  “Restore the Rule of Law…. the Proper Role of the Court in our Republic”.

Justice Kennedy delivered an outstanding message to a combined audience of Sons & Daughters of the American Revolution.  There were 56 participants present for the event.

The host for the event was Montgomery Inn – in downtown Montgomery.  We were grateful for them hosting this great event.

Unveiling of the DAR 250th Flag

Brief History of Constitution Day (or Citizenship Day), is an American federal observance that recognizes the adoption of the United States Constitution and those who have become U.S. citizens. It is normally observed on September 17, the day in 1787 that 39 delegates to the Constitutional Convention signed the document in Philadelphia.

New members Matthew Creed and Nathan Chester were inducted into the Cincinnati Chapter of SAR.  Matthew is on the left, with Nathan Chester and family to the right, including his father, wife & son.  Welcome!
