On Saturday December 10th 2022, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (CCSAR) held its annual celebration and awards Gala.
This is an awesome event which all members are all invited to connect, share stories, be recognized by their peers for their service to our community, our mission to recognize and embrace patriotism.
The SAR is an organization which recognizes patriotism specifically to the American Revolutionary War (1776-1783). Each member has demonstrated to have an ancestral link to a patriot who served or provided services to the American Revolutionary War effort.
The Cincinnati Chapter is consistently ranked in the top SAR chapters in the country. There are about 260 members, with most living in the Cincinnati metro area.
The photos you will see are of those who are the most active in our chapter. These few are the force behind why this chapter is so successful. As in most organizations, much is done typically by the contributions of a few very dedicated members.
We will continue to pursue getting more of our current and future members more active in our chapter activities. We would like them to experience the fun and the rewards or activism.
My membership in this group has been relatively brief. I am constantly amazed how much these gentleman accomplish, their passion for this cause and their commitment. Not to be forgotten are the spouses and family who support them. We are blessed!
The Gala is an opportunity to gather, share stories, meet and greet members. Laughter and lots of hand shaking and pats on the back. Spouses get to meet the faces behind the names of other members. All in all a wonderful event and more memories are created.
The evening was held at the University Club in Downtown Cincinnati. As usual, they provided a terrific venue, excellent food, soothing music and a festive holiday spirit for the Christmas and Hanukah seasons.
There were members of the Cincinnati, Ohio Society and Dayton Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution were in attendance.
Cocktails and light snacks were followed by dinner. After dinner were the awards where members are recognized for their contributions.
Also the new 2023 Leadership team was introduced. So much is done by this dedicated core of members.
