Updated – see flyer below with more event information.
On Sunday October 1st, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will participate in an event at the Miller-Leuser log cabin in Anderson Township.
The time for the event is planned on between 1-4PM.
A flyer for the event and more information is shown below:
Anderson Township Event – Revolutionary War – Living History
The cabin sits on the location that Captain Matthew Jouitt, a Virginia officer who was granted 600 acres of land for his services in the Revolutionary War, built his homestead. The deed is dated June 9, 1793.
The log cabin provides a nice historical backdrop as well as being highly visible (its right on Clough Pike). The Anderson Township Historical Society is hosting the event.
Parking may be a challenge and we may need to park at an adjacent location behind the building (more details will be shared).
At this time, the agenda of topics will look something like the below:
1:00 pm The Revolutionary War/The War in Ohio
1:20 pm Musket/Tactical Demo
2:00 pm Dr. Ed Bonniwell presents “Mad Anthony Wayne”
2:15 pm Musicians in the Revolutionary War
2:45 pm The Continental/British Soldier
3:15 pm Genealogy and the Revolutionary War
3:30 pm Musket/Tactical Demo
Looking forward to you being able to participate!
