The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is recognized for their outstanding Youth Education program.
A number of CCSAR members contribute to working with area schools to share “living patriotic history” with school age children.
George Stewart lives by the rule that to participate in SAR, you have to make the role your own.
Along those lines, recently George noted the absence of a patriotic reading program for elementary and middle school students.
George took the challenge on and developed a patriotic reading program, the first for any SAR chapter. Since the programs initiation, many other state chapters have contacted George to leverage the program he developed for use in their own state.
At our September 4th monthly meeting, Steve Kaplan – Ohio SAR State President traveled to Cincinnati and presented George with the Silver Henry Knox Achievement Medal and Certificate.

George’s efforts added some spice to an already robust Cincinnati Youth Awards program.
Congratulations to George for identifying a need, having the courage, dedication and guts to work to add value to our youth.
Kudos!!
