Please note that these CCSAR members dress up in period uniforms of the 1770’s and share history and events which occurred and are significant events leading up to, including and post Revolutionary War time periods.

Dr. Ed Bonniwell – shows the students the proper salute while in period uniform

The students are encouraged to handle period artifacts and ask whatever questions they like.  Our Youth Education team loves the questions and strives to help these youth understand the struggle, obstacles and challenges faced by these brave men and women of this difficult time.

Mike Gunn presents an assortment of Revolutionary War era artifacts to students and explains how they were used during the conflict

In addition to the presenters, Gregg Ballman, Jack Bredenfoerder and Bob Bowers also attended in period uniforms, and held a 30 minute outdoor assembly where they shared information with the students about their uniforms, their patriot ancestors, artifacts and weapons used during this great conflict.

Vince McGeehan presents the pre-war events leading up to the Revolutionary War

Especially gratifying for the presenters were the number and quality of the questions asked which demonstrated the interest level of the students.

Mike Gunn shows the class a period cannon ball which would have been used during the Rev War.

We are grateful to be able to make these presentations and thanks to the students and faculty of Mariemont Experiential School for having us present to them.
