Welcome – New US Citizens!

A Naturalization Ceremony was held today (August 4) at Memorial Hall, with the Honorable Beth Buchanan, US Bankruptcy Court Judge, and the Honorable Ginger Bock, Ohio First District Court of Appeals Judge, presiding.

Seventeen new citizens from 12 countries received their American citizenship.

Special guests included Aftab Pureval, Mayor of Cincinnati, Jan-Michele Lemon Kearney, Vice Mayor of Cincinnati, Denise Driehaus, Hamilton Co. Commissioner, Jessica Miranda, Hamilton Co. Auditor and several other judges.

The Hamilton County Commissioners declared August 4, 2026 as New Citizen Day.

The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (CCSAR/SAR) was there to welcome new US Citizens.  Compatriot Stephen McClanahan helped welcome them on behalf of SAR.

Also, please note the next ceremony is scheduled for Monday, August 31st at the Great American Ballpark. All other previously scheduled ceremonies for the month of August have been cancelled.
