The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution have a very active and successful Youth Awards Program.
During our June 7th General Membership meeting we recognized two very impressive young adults.
Mike Gunn presented on behalf of Eagle Scout Youth Awards Committee Chairman Scott Snow.
Our chapter was proud to recognize two fine examples of what the Boy Scouts of America can contribute to our nation.
- Samuel Warren, who placed 1st in Cincinnati, took first place in the Ohio SAR contest and then placed 5th in the National SAR competition.
- Samuel is the first Cincinnati award winner to win the Ohio SAR and place nationally.
- Samuel’s awards are:
- Cincinnati – $300 cash award and a Certificate from Cincinnati Chapter;
- Ohio – $500 cash award, statue, and a Certificate from the Ohio Society,
- National – $1000 cash award, a even more impressive statue and a National Certificate.

Cincinnati SAR – Mike Gunn presents Samuel Warren one of the statues from the Sons of the American Revolution for his placing at the State and National Youth Award competition – Boy Scouts category
- Scott Sullivan was also very impressive and placed 2nd in the Cincinnati Chapter contest and received a Certificate, an award badge and $100 for his placement.
For all of us who have participated in the Boy Scouts of America, we recognize the importance of achieving the Eagle Scout status.
Congratulations to both of these fine men as they continue to grow and be a shining star for our community and for our Youth Awards program.
