Wreaths Across America

Every December on Wreaths Across America Day, wreaths are laid on Veteran’s graves. The purpose is to honor, remember, and thank these Veterans for their service. This year the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution participated in the Wreaths Across America Ceremony at Greenwood Cemetery in Hamilton, OH.

The Boy Scouts led the Pledge of Allegiance at the ceremomy and a wreath was presented for each branch of the service. A wreath was also presented in remembrance of POWs and MIAs. Remarks were given by Hamilton City Mayor Patrick Moeller; Regent of the John Reily Chapter DAR; Ohio Society President of the Ohio Society SAR, Col. Donald C. McGraw ; Cincinnati Chapter SAR President, Jack Bredenfoerder.  The VFW Post 1069 provided a 3-volley salute at the ceremony.
