Cincinnati Observatory Dedication

The Cincinnati Chapter’s Nolan Carson Memorial Color Guard on July 11, 2007 participated in a ceremony dedicating a bronze plaque at the Cincinnati Observatory Center. The plaque was presented for its landmark role in American science. The observatory is a National Historic Landmark. The Observatory is known as “The Birthplace of American Astronomy.” Telescope viewing of Saturn, Venus and Jupiter followed late into the night.
