SAR Volunteers Needed – Saturday January 6th – Spring Grove Cemetery

On Saturday January 6th at 10:00AM, we need volunteers to assist in cleaning up the wreaths laid at Spring Grove Cemetery for the Wreaths Across America event.

Entrance To Spring Grove Cemetery – 4521 Spring Grove Avenue Cincinnati OH

If a reasonable number of volunteers participate, the event goes quickly.

If you can, please bring a long sturdy pole which you can use to capture the round wreaths being retrieved.  This works very well especially if you bring a friend or can hook up with another volunteer.

Please reach out to Bob Bowers if you can participate and so he can let you know if anything changes due to unforeseen weather.

Note this is a fun event, and lets you get to know other members in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Spring Grove Cemetery is a beautiful and amazing place even in the winter.

Address of entrance:

  •  4521 Spring Grove Avenue (northwest of downtown Cincinnati / west of I 75)
  •  Cincinnati, OH
  •  Coordinates: 39.16479, -84.52315

Direction Specifics – once you are in the park you will be looking for Section 21 – Civil War.  As you enter the cemetery, go under the stone round overpass bridge and take the next right turn.  The event location is a 100 yards up this road on your left.  Look for cars and you should be at the right place.

Once finished, please take some time to drive around the cemetery and arboretum grounds.  You can see more in winter with the leaves down.

Special place!

Thanking you in advance for your help!
