SAR – Ohio Society – Fall Meeting – Ohio Northern University – October 25th

On the morning of October 26th, the fall meeting of the Ohio Society of the Sons of the American Revolution was held at Ohio Northern University.

The event was highlighted by the Ohio Northern University singing groups the “University Singers” and the “Chamber Choir”.

Cincinnati Chapter President Scott Freeman’s youngest son Will, who attends ONU, was a member of the ONU University Singers.  Will connected CCSAR President Freeman in touch with the new Choral Director, Professor Brandon Magid.

OHSSAR President Steve Kaplan and Cincinnati SAR President Freeman then worked with Professor Magid to arrange for the choir to show up in the meeting room prior to the meeting and perform two a cappella arrangements: “The National Anthem” and “Simple Gifts.”

The OHSSAR members, spouses, and Ladies Auxiliary members in attendance greatly appreciated the performance.  Moreover, everyone thoroughly enjoyed the accommodations at the Inn at ONU, the beautiful spacious campus, and the excellent facilities at ONU and felt it was a great place to have a meeting.

Please note that both OHSSAR President and First Lady Steve and Patty Kaplan are graduates of the ONU College of Pharmacy.
