SAR Hometown Interview – Facebook Live Video Podcast

On September 18th, Cincinnati SAR President Scott Freeman was interviewed on David Lucas’ “All Points:  People, Places, & Professions”, which is a live Facebook video podcast.

This was about a half our hour interview that aired live at 6:00 pm that day.  This took place in Scott’s hometown of Ironton, OH.

David Lucas was recommended by the Cincinnati Chapter and awarded the Silver Good Citizenship Medal by OHSSAR this year.  This is podcast is just one of many things that he does for the local community.

It was a long interview for Scott and a little hot under the lights in the studio.  Even the commercial break wasn’t really a break, as the filming continued as the host promoted some sponsors and products.

The interview was not scripted, so Scott had no idea what questions were coming.  All things considered, Scott handled the interview as a pro.

David’s podcast has a good following of 2,600 people for a local podcast intended to be of small-town local interest, and was pleased that when the live interview ended, it already had about 60 views.  He said 100 views in the first 24 hours was good and seemed to think it was on track for that.  The recording continues to be available (see link below:).

Actually, getting to speak to more than 100 interested non-SAR people for a half hour and share the SAR mission and story was a terrific publicity opportunity.

Scott was grateful to be able to have participated.
