On Saturday, October 1, the Trustees took a significant step toward the build-out of the SAR Education Center and Museum by authorizing funds be expended for a new, large-capacity elevator.
This is not only necessary for Museum operations but also to facilitate movement of equipment and materials to be used in construction. Installation is expected to be completed within six months, barring “supply chain” issues.
Previously, the Trustees authorized the preparation and dissemination of a Request for Proposal (“RFP”) for the Education Center and Museum itself. The RFP will be completed soon and then distributed to qualified bidders. The goal is to have bids to review by Spring Leadership, so we can stay on track to open in 2026.
