The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution joined the Military Order of the Purple Heart, VFW, DAV, the Korean War Veterans Assn. and the USPS in celebrating this most special day. Six of our members in Revolutionary War appropriate practice posted and retrieved colors during the ceremony at Noon on Fountain Square.

Most impressive was the service honoring and naming those 80 members with ties to the Greater Cincinnati area who have fought ad died in Operation Enduring Freedom; Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation New Dawn.

Cincinnati SAR’s Nolan Carson Memorial Color Guard commanded by Turner Lee Wilkerson, President John H. Bredenfoerder, past president Michael Gunn, Robert Bowers, Kenneth Carpenter and Edward Boniwell were in the August 10. 2018 ceremony.
