The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will join and participate with the American Legion Post 534 for this terrific and moving event honoring the fallen at Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941.
We would be honored with your presence at this ceremony.
On the 1st Sunday in December every year Chamber Hautman Budde American Legion Post 534 holds a Pearl Harbor Remembrance. This is the 68th annual event.
In 2022, this day is Sunday December 4th.
The days events include:
- 9:00 AM – please come gather and enjoy coffee and donuts.
- 10:30 AM – we hold a Flag Retirement at 10:30. Please bring any tired and tattered flags you would like properly retired.
- 11:30 AM – we head down to the Anderson Ferry to the waterfront
- 11:55 AM – we march and board the Anderson Ferry at 11:55. From there we have a 3rd musket volley and the sounding of Taps on the ferry. This process is repeated and echoed on the shore, then we toss wreaths into the river. Then we head back the shore and to the Post for a hot lunch.
- Hot lunch to follow at the American Legion post when participants return.

Want to purchase a ceremonial wreath for the event? If you or your organization would like a wreath please reach out to Mike Bender 513-535-1833. The cost of the wreath is $20.00.
BYOW – Warning – if you choose to bring your own wreath to the event to be placed on the river, warning, they must be biodegradable per U S Coast Guard rules.
