In 1948 the Cincinnati Chapter had a public luncheon at the Netherland Plaza. Distinguished Compatriot United States Senator Robert A. Taft was the guest speaker. His topic was “What is Liberty?. The Chapter also had Ohio Governor Thomas J. Herbert as a special guest.

On October 15, 1954 the Constitution Day Dinner was held jointly with the D.A.R at the Netherland Plaza. United States Senator William E. Jenner of Indiana was the guest speaker who spoke on “Communists and their Collaborators.”

Major General Ulysses S. Grant III

On September 16, 1960 the Constitution Day Dinner was once again jointly held with the D.A.R at the Sheraton Gibson Roof Garden. The special guest speaker was Major General of the Army Ulysses S. Grant III. He was the grandson of President Ulysses S. Grant.
