There is something to be said about passing on a legacy.
Over the past year, Cincinnati SAR member Mike Gunn has worked tirelessly with Cincinnati SAR Registrar Franz Ott to prepare, submit and shepherd applications to National SAR to create new memberships for each of his sons, grandsons and great grandsons.

The fruits of that labor were enjoyed at our recent September 4th membership meeting where all eleven family members were inducted into the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

A proud Mike Gunn and his wife Carol are dedicated contributors to our local chapter events. Mike is the Grave Marking Chairman and past chapter President. Carol has supported Mike’s efforts, contributes anyway possible and is a frequent photographer at our local events.

Each new member received a rosette pin which the colors are blue and buff which was inspired by the Continental Uniform of General George Washington. These pins were placed on the collar of the new members clothing.
