It​ ​is​ ​interesting​ ​to​ ​note​ ​some​ ​of​ ​the​ ​trials​ ​and​ ​successes during​ ​the​ ​early​ ​history of​ ​the​ ​Cincinnati​ ​Chapter.​ ​In​ ​June 1898​ ​the​ ​sum​ ​of​ ​$25.00​ ​was​ ​given​ ​to​ ​the​ Daughters​ ​of​ ​the American​ ​Revolution​ ​for​ ​aid​ ​in​ ​their​ ​work​ ​with​ ​with​ ​the soldiers and​ ​sailors​ ​in​ ​the​ ​Spanish-American​ ​War.​ ​In​ ​terms of​ ​cash​ ​value​ ​today,​ ​that​ ​would​ ​equal​ ​about​ ​$700.
