On Tuesday September 17th, there was a joyous welcome for the veterans who attended the Tri-State Honor Flight from Cincinnati International Airport to Washington DC.

The Welcoming Home “Committee”
This is a moving event where veterans are treated to a trip to visit the war monuments for their branch of service.
These veterans are typically escorted by a friend or family member.
A grateful veteran reaches out in thanks to well wishers in the welcoming crowd
They leave for DC early in the morning. Tour DC during the day and return to Cincinnati (CVG) around 9:00PM.
Greeting them home are friends, family, members of the service branches, the public and in our case the SAR and DAR. There were SAR/DAR participants from both the Ohio and Kentucky chapters.
SAR and DAR representatives welcome these veteran heroes
Seeing these veterans arrive, seeing the look of gratitude on their faces for those who came to greet them is really a special experience.

There was a full flight full of veterans to tour DC monuments
This is the least we can do to show our gratitude for their service to our country.
We are forever grateful!
