As we enjoy this holiday season, we want to thank all members, loved ones and friends who support the events and mission of the Sons of the American Revolution.

We are all blessed with being a citizen of the most amazing country in the world!

All SAR members are additionally blessed with having ancestral roots to patriots who participated in or provided substantial support to the efforts to secure individual freedoms to govern and live.  It was not perfect at first and continues to evolve however the fundamental principals are strong and a guide for our country and our lives.

We may forget that fighting for individual liberties vs. living in a monarchy or dictatorship was a very new concept in the 18th century.  Our forefathers risked everything for the belief that there was a different way to live and govern.

Lets be grateful for what we have, be appreciative that we have the freedom to speak and defend ourselves.  Above all, never forget about our ancestors who sacrificed to gain our individual liberties.  We also are grateful for our military and leaders who have and continue to defend these rights that all sacrificed to obtain and retain.

As SAR members we start each of our meetings and gatherings with prayer and the following SAR Pledge:

“We descendants of the heroes of the American Revolution who, by their sacrifices, established the United States of America, reaffirm our faith in the principles of liberty and our Constitutional Republic, and solemnly pledge ourselves to defend them against every foe”

Further, we end our meetings and gatherings with a benediction prayer and the following SAR Recessional:

“Until we meet again, let us remember our obligations to our forefathers, who gave us our Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and Independent Supreme Court, and a Nation of free men”
