On Friday July 22nd and Saturday July 23rd, there will be events at Fort Laurens in Bolivar Ohio.

Friday, there will be events occurring at the Tomb of the Unknown Guard from 9:00-5:30 followed by a dinner from 6-8 PM, and the summer Board of Management meeting (session 1 of 2) from 8:00-9:30PM.

Saturday, there will be the session 2 of 2 of the Board of Management Meeting from 8:30-10:00.  Thereafter from 10:30 – 12:00 there will be a Fort Laurens Memorial Service, including Color Guard.  Followed by lunch from 12:30-2:00.  The day will conclude with the OHSSAR Awards Ceremony from 2:00-3:30.

Fort Laurens is a historical site.  Plan on meandering around the location, enjoy the history.

Costs to participants include:

Dinner – Friday 7/22 30.00 per person

Lunch – Saturday 7/23 18.00 per person

Lodging – special room rate at the Sleep Inn – Bolivar Ohio 135.00 – call the hotel direct for reservations 330-874-3435 – Let them know at time of making reservation that you are with the Ohio Society Sons of the American Revolution to get the no Ohio sales tax special rate.

Also let them know if you plan on participating in the Friday “Guard of the Unknown” – requires commitment of 21 minutes.  Bob Hill will be the point person for scheduling times and assignments.
