We have been invited back to Arlington Memorial Gardens for the Field of Memories event. This is a very special event and CCSAR has been asked to participate after a long run of visits.
Calling all Color Guard members, this is a National Color Guard event.
COMMEMORATIVE CEREMONIES – schedule:
2:45 PM Posting of the Colors & Musket Salute – CCSAR
- Presented by the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, this tribute includes the ceremonial presentation of the colors and a musket salute in honor of our fallen heroes.
3:00 PM National Moment of Remembrance
- Join us in observing one full minute of reflection as we honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our nation.
3:05 Honorary Reading of the Names
- A solemn reading of the names represented by Flags in the Field of Memories. Each name echoes a life remembered and a legacy honored.
Muster time for Color Guard members should be 2:00 pm to give us time to place the flags, run through a safety protocol, etc.
Color Guard members will be free to leave after the National Moment of Remembrance.
