Cincinnati SAR Compatriot Ken Carpenter Returns from Tri-State Honor Flight

Compatriots of the Cincinnati SAR welcomed home another Tri-State Honor flight on Tuesday, August 28th at CVG. This flight was particularly special to the Cincinnati Chapter because Compatriot Ken Carpenter was on board! Cincinnati Compatriots welcoming Ken’s return were: Gary Duffield, Lee Wilkerson, Clay Crandall, Mike Gunn, George Stewart, Ed Bonniwell, Bob Bowers, Mike Blum, Brad Jarard, Shaun Smith, Larry Collins, Gregg Ballman, Dan Schmitz, Jack Bredenfoerder along with Ken’s wife Carolyn and children Henry and Jennifer. Welcome home Ken!

For many of our veterans, a trip to Washington to see their memorials is not financially or physically possible by themselves. This is the mission of Honor Flight Tri-State: to make that dream come true for as many veterans as possible. If a veteran does not have a family member to accompany them, a qualified and enthusiastic guardian will be assigned, ready to assist them on their trip of a lifetime. The HONOR FLIGHT trip is at no cost to the veterans and all veterans over the age of 65, whether they served stateside or overseas, are eligible to apply. https://www.honorflighttristate.org/about-us
