During his tenure as President of the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, George Stewart has been working towards more cooperation and interaction with local Daughters of the American Revolution chapters.
As a sign of that appreciation, George recently attended a DAR John Reily Chapter meeting. George presented an SAR Medal of Appreciation to Ms. Susan McLaughlin.
In George’s own words:
“Two weeks ago the John Reily Chapter DAR accepted my request to attend their monthly chapter meeting. While there I presented the SAR Medal of Appreciation to Ms. Susan McLaughlin. She is a advocate for the DAR as well as the SAR. She has supported me in so many ways during my first term as Chapter President. We have exchanged ideas and suggestions. Our chapter has only awarded this medal twice in 12 years. It was a surprise to her but I believe well deserving.”
Thanks to both George and Susan for their efforts to bring the common causes for both the SAR and DAR chapters, to promote and remind us what our forefathers, their families gave to make our country what it is today.
Kudo’s to all who work to bring our common cause together. The sum of the parts is far greater by working together.
