One of the most memorable events leading up to the Revolutionary War was the “Boston Tea Party”, which the name was coined by Cincinnati resident Joshua Wyeth.

The 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party was December 16th, 2023.

To formally recognize this event, on the evening of December 16 (2023), there was a reenactment of the BTP in Boston Harbor.

This event was championed by the “Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum.

It was a wonderfully planned and executed event.  A video of the event is below:

In addition, to connect people around the country and world to this event, the leaders of the event requested that individuals, businesses, civic groups donate loose leaf tea and mail it to the event organizers.

This tea was collected, put in replica tea chests and dumped in Boston Harbor to commemorate this historic event.

George Stewart, former Cincinnati SAR President shared this challenge with our members.  George and I are known participants and we both received a “Certificate” and a beautiful photograph of the event the evening of December 16th, 2023.  They are shown below:

I was very pleased to get this certificate and was really impressed with the photo provided.

Grateful to have had the opportunity to do something for this terrific event.

Ready for the next 250th American Revolutionary Event!
