On Tuesday, November 11th, 2025 there was a special Veterans Day ceremony at Mars Hills Academy in Mason.
This event took place in the gymnasium and members of the community, parents of the students and Veterans were invited.

They were treated to performances by the school choir, presentations by selected students and a key note speaker. The theme was about Patriotism!
The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution were again invited to participate in the program in a couple of ways. The CCSAR Color Guard posted the colors (flags) to begin the ceremony.

In addition, afterwards, the Color Guard members took time to talk about their ancestors, their period uniforms, and replica weapons to the 6th Grade class in the auditorium.
To follow, Dr. Ed Bonniwell presented the story of “The Battle of Yorktown” to a classroom of students.
This event was special and really heart warming to see these students and administrators honor Veterans on this day. It is important for youth of today to understand thee commitment and sacrifices made by the men and women of our military to protect our freedoms.
After the program in the gymnasium concluded, most visitors left the building.
We at CCSAR are honored and grateful to be asked for a repeat appearance at this terrific and heartwarming event.
We are looking forward to next year!
