On Friday, May 10th at the downtown Cincinnati Federal Courthouse there was a naturalization ceremony where new citizens were sworn in as official US citizens.

Sons of the American Revolution Compatriot Jerry Knight welcomed around 60 new citizens from 32 countries in this ceremony.

These new citizens were no doubt in awe of the 1770’s military uniform worn by Compatriot Knight welcomed these new citizens.  May this uniform be a reminder of the patriots who served our new country to gain its individual liberties and a government installed to support individuals and their rights.  This form of government was unheard of at that time.

The Honorable Stephanie K. Bowman presided at the ceremony.
