On a cold January day, it is Presidents Day where Jimmy Carter was honored for his political and humanitarian service.
On February 15th, the DAR has invited the SAR to participate in a Presidents Day Luncheon to honor the memories of US Presidents. We are particularly attached to General George Washington.

In a change of scenery, especially for February (this morning that it was 7 degrees out, this will be appreciated) this event will be held indoors, where it will be warm, enjoying the company of other SAR members and experiencing the hospitality of the local DAR chapters. The SAR have participated in this event for a number of years.
George Stewart, former CCSAR President and current DAR liaison Chairmen for our chapter has worked tirelessly with the local DAR chapters to encourage and nurture joint DAR/SAR events. This event is a wonderful event, with great food, a beautiful venue (Cincinnati Women’s Club) and an inspiring program of events.
SAR members, their families and guests interested in learning more about the history of the American Revolution are welcomed to participate.
The CCSAR Nolan Carson Memorial Color Guard will participate by posting and retiring colors. I suspect George Stewart and Scott Freeman will have remarks.

Now, lets get out and show our SAR support for this terrific event and spend time with DAR members who share common beliefs and interests. Besides, the program is always interesting.
