Ohio SAR Society Awards – Spring 2025 – Dayton Ohio – May 3rd

On Saturday May 3rd, 2025 in Dayton Ohio, the Ohio Society of the Sons of the American Revolution hosted their Spring Management Meeting.

During that event, numerous awards were given at the State and Individual level recognizing accomplishments to the greater good of the SAR and our Communities.

At the chapter level, the Cincinnati chapter was recognized for the most new members (1st place with 34 new members), and 2nd place for the largest percentage growth in membership (at 20%).

Kudos to:

  •  Scott Freeman – note that our Cincinnati Chapter President Scott Freeman has consistently put membership growth in our teams mind throughout his tenure.
  • Franz Ott – we would like to also recognize Franz Ott for his tireless efforts to coach, mentor, steer, and guide new prospects through the arduous new application process.
  • State – Troy Bailey – who is participates in the review of all new Ohio sourced SAR member applications.  The additional level of screening provides even more confidence that applications received for final blessing by the National SAR Genealogical team are timely approved.
  • National SAR – they are the last line of defense to assure that the direct lineal genealogical purity of our members connection to legitimate American Revolutionary War Patriots is consistently maintained.

There were many individual awards presented at the State and National level.  The full list of awards are provided below:

We are honored to have such an active chapter who tirelessly contribute time at the Chapter, State and National level.

If you get a chance, or want to make an additional memory, please reach out to these individuals and give them a “Thank You” for their services to our great organization.

Huzzah!!
