Missing In Action – a reminder …..

The SAR recognizes America’s heroes who are “Missing In Action” commonly referred to as “MIA”.

These are patriots who for various reasons did not return home and their whereabouts are unknown.

MIA – table set for one

Missing in action is a casualty classification assigned to combatants, military chaplains, combat medics, and prisoners of war who are reported missing during wartime or ceasefire. They may have been killed, wounded, captured, executed, or deserted. If deceased, neither their remains nor grave have been positively identified.

Honoring these individuals at each of our SAR events is a way of remembering.

Recently, I was visiting a local restaurant and I noted the presence of a table signifying the memory of those Missing In Action.

It drew my attention and was cause for a pause.

We are blessed every day!
