Holmes H.S. JROTC Student Bestowed Medal by Cincinnati SAR

20180511-Covington01.PNGAt 1830 hours on Friday, May 11th a ceremony was hosted by Holmes High School to Honor members of their Marine Corps JROTC Students. Officiating was Senior Marine Instructor Major P.R. Wilson and Instructor Master Sergeant S.M. Braun, Retd. with Principal Mr. Scott Hornblower in attendance.

Thirty-two awards were presented to the JROTC Class with 21 of those going to multiple recipients and eleven awarded to individuals. Two associations were in attendance, the Marine Corps League and the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution.

Dr. Michael B. Gunn, past President of Cincinnati SAR, was pleased to present their JROTC Medal to Cadet 2 nd Lieutenant Harley Boden “in recognition of her outstanding leadership qualities, military bearing and excellence, thus exemplifying the high ideals and principles which motivated and sustained our patriot ancestors.”

She assumed the role of Cadet Commander from Cadet Captain Steven Gregory for the coming year in a “Changing of Command Service” later in the program. Hurrah!
