Update on the Cincinnati SAR Chapter History Teacher contestant Melissa Costello.
Ms. Costello won the Cincinnati Chapter, State and SAR National contests.
Congrats again to Ms. Costello and kudos to all our Cincinnati SAR members who are actively supporting our Youth Education program.
We have learned that Melissa Costello will be honored at the Ohio State House on Tuesday September 19th in Columbus with a presentation on the State of Ohio – House floor.
Cincinnati SAR is working to assemble a group of Revolutionary War attired Compatriots to travel to Columbus to show our support and visually connect American Revolutionary War history to living exhibits.
Details are still being worked out and we will update this blog post once all is clear.
Ms. Costello attended a workshop in Williamsburg VA and wrote an essay regarding her experience at this event. The document is attached for you to read and be inspired by a true champion of American History. The file is as follows:

If you are interested in participating, in uniform (better) or civvies, please reach out to George Stewart or Bob Bowers to communicate attending and arranging for car pooling if convenient.
To be reasonable, we expect this may be an all-day event.
We will share updates as the plans firm up.
