Goshen Grave Marking – Press Release & Update – Saturday – October 21st

Sharing with our SAR members an upcoming press release for the Goshen Grave Marking event.

This event is special in its own right as we honor six Revolutionary War patriots.

Musket Salute honoring fallen Revolutionary War patriots

An additional bonus to our event is the participation by the National SAR President General John L. Dodd.

The ceremony will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday Afternoon October 21,2023

The location is at Myer’s Cemetery in Goshen.

The address is:

6640 Ohio Route 48
Goshen, Clermont County, Ohio

President General Dodd and officers of the Central District SAR will address the assembly.

Additional elements of the ceremony will include the unveiling of the SAR Grave Markers, Placement of Wreaths at the graves by members of the Society, descendant family members and friends of the Community.

The SAR Color Guard participants will be from Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia, and Kentucky.  These Color Guard will be dressed in period uniform and will execute a musket salute at the end of the formal ceremony.

The general public is cordially invited to join the Society in the celebration and remembrance of the lives of these American Patriots.

This is a moving and special event.  If you have not attended a grave marking service, please consider attending and experience.
