Continental Currency – How Did It Come to Be?

As a new country, coming up with a currency was a new challenge.

Today, we really don’t think twice about how to pay for things.  Credit Cards, Venmo, Store Credit, are all available to most of us.

Think about simple cash …. what form of cash did colonials use to pay for day to day goods?

How about wooden currency?

Please note that barter was a significant part of exchanges for goods and services.
