Upcoming Board Meetings—Montgomery Inn—Wed PM 2/7, 3/6 and 4/3

We will be holding our monthly Board of Management meetings at the Montgomery Inn in downtown Montgomery on the first Wednesday of the month.  Open to all members, come join us at 5:30-7:00 for a social hour.  If you want, you can order a short list special Montgomery Inn meal prior to the 7:00 PM formal meeting start.

Living History Presentation—Harmon Museum – Lebanon – Friday – Jan. 19th

The Cincinnati SAR has been invited to participate in an event at the Harmon Museum where the “American Revolution Experience” exhibit will be showcased.  Members of our Color Guard will be present and will interact with the participants.  Exhibits of period items will be on display.  If you have any period artifacts of Revolutionary War relevance, please bring them for display to the public.

Harrison Tomb Parade and Dedication — North Bend—Friday February 9th

Annually the Cincinnati SAR participates in a parade and a tomb ceremony honoring William Henry Harrison.  There will be a parade which our Color Guard participates leading up the hill to the tomb of the late soldier, statesman and former president of the USA.  The Color Guard will perform a musket salute to  honor the late president from North Bend Ohio.

Presidents Day Luncheon – Saturday – February 17th

We are invited to attend the Cincinnati DAR Chapter event which will feature George Washington (as represented by our own CCSAR Zach Haines) and his very impressive and successful wife Martha at the Cincinnati Womens Club in west Cincinnati.  Cincinnati SAR members are encouraged and welcome this event.  The CCSAR Color Guard will participate in this joint event.  There is a modest charge for the luncheon.  See the CCSAR calendar for more information and the promotional flyer used to make luncheon reservations.

Naturalizations —see Calendar – various dates

There are ten Naturalization Ceremonies on the docket for the first quarter of 2023.  If you would like to participate either in Color Guard attire or not, please reach out to Jerry Knight to coordinate meeting.

Patriots Day – Washington Park – Grave Marking – Sat. April 20th

There will be a grave marking ceremony downtown Cincinnati in Washington Park honoring five additional American Revolutionary War Patriots.  The Nolan Carson Color Guard will be present for the ceremony and we hope to perform a musket salute.
