Many thanks to Doug Bates who has prepared a timeline by year of the key events and battles of the American Revolution.

Sharing this timeline with you to follow over the next few years as we celebrate the 250th with a series of celebrations of the events over the eight year conflict.
The country is celebrating the 250th anniversary of the creation of our great country.
We officially recognize July 4th 1776 as the day the Declaration of Independence was accepted, however the conflict started on April 19th 1775 in Lexington MA. The final recognized conclusion of the conflict ended with the signing of the “Treaty of Paris” in Paris France on September 3, 1783. The treaty was not officially ratified by the new US Congress of the Confederation until January 14th, 1784.
