On Thursday April 18th, there was an award Ceremony to honor the Air Force Junior ROTC graduates of Lebanon High School.
In addition, the new class officers were installed and special achievement awards granted to a number of young men and women.
As I participated, I had a sense of pride and amazement to the show of friendships, discipline and respect these young adults showed to each other, their leaders and the participants in the events. They looked sharp!

The Cincinnati Chapter (all SAR chapters) of the Sons of the American Revolution (CCSAR) participate in many JROTC awards ceremonies in the Tri-State area.
SAR involvement includes identifying high achieving JROTC units and participants in JROTC programs.
The event starts with the posting of colors, singing of the National Anthem, recognizing special guests.

During the event, the CCSAR representative Tim Madden presented Cadet Cole Buchert with two awards, first the the bronze JROTC medal and certificate.

In addition, Cadet Buchert received the Enhanced JROTC certificate and a check for $100 for placing 2nd in the 2024 Enhanced JROTC competition.

The event finished with a slide show of the graduating seniors from birth to the point of graduation. This presentation drew much attention, laughter and sense of pride for the family and cadets, recognizing a life molded from an infant to a impressive young adult.
We look forward to next year and a new crop of aspiring and impressive cadets to participate and shine in the AFJROTC program at Lebanon High School.
