Every year the Sons of the American Revolution sponsor a series of patriotic themed contests which involve youth from elementary school through high school.
The Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution (CCSAR) has a highly recognized team of participants who take time to foster relationships with area school administrators and teachers. This team is led by Chairman Bob Bowers.
Throughout the contest year, these CCSAR participants work with students, teachers, parents to help these students understand the mission and goals of these programs.
The Cincinnati Chapter is recognized statewide in mentoring students to achieve great contributions to these contests.
Essay Contest – the winner is …….
We would like to recognize McNicholas High School Senior – Sean McMannus as the local essay contest winner. As the local contest winner, Sean’s entry was submitted to the Ohio Society SAR contest where we are proud to announce he placed second.
Zac Haines (Contest Committee Chairman) and Scott Freeman (Cincinnati Chapter President) attended the McNicholas High School Academic Awards Assembly on May 9th to present the awards to the chapter winner of George S. & Stella M. Knight Essay Contest.
