Independence Day – Grave Marking Event – Washington Park – Sat. 7/4 10:00AM

Attention SAR members, Color Guardsman, friends, families and those interested in Revolutionary War history and how it has impacted the Cincinnati area.

We invite you to participate in the Independence Day Patriot Grave Marking event, on Sat. July 4 at 10 am at Washington Park.

This is a national CG event, a 250th event, and a SAR President General event where we will mark the graves of the remaining 12 patriots buried there.

Congratulations and thanks to Mike Gunn, CCSAR Grave Marking Committee Chairman for his tireless and persistent effort to recognize the Revolutionary War heroes buried in the Cincinnati area, especially those originally buried in Washington Park and subsequently interred in Spring Grove Cemetery and surrounding area cemeteries.

This day will celebrate one of the most significant national anniversaries of our lifetimes.

Please let me know if you plan to participate, and if you will bring a musket.

Let Scott Freeman or Jason Bourgeois (Color Guard) know if you plan on participating.
