President Scott Freeman and first lady Kathy Freeman represented the Cincinnati Chapter at the Berkshire Cemetery Patriot Grave Marking Ceremony on March 29th.

The cemetery is north of Columbus in Sunbury, OH, which is in Delaware county.

The ceremony was organized by the Benjamin Franklin Chapter. Multiple Ohio Society districts and chapters and several DAR chapters participated. OHSSAR President and First Lady, Steve and Patty Kaplan, participated as well as an Ohio Society Color Guard under Commander Bob Hill.

President Freeman participated in the Color Guard, posting the SAR insignia Flag, and presented a wreath on behalf of the Cincinnati Chapter.

A SAR memorial stone including the name of five patriots buried in the cemetery was dedicated.

The event included a musket salute by members of the multiple chapter Color Guard representatives.
