Attached is a flyer for our fundraiser at MPH Brewery on July 1st.
Cincinnati SAR MPH Brewery Fundraiser
Please invite family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, other organizations, etc. This isn’t just a SAR/DAR member event.
Note this is an informal public event, MPH Brewery and Restaurant will be open to the public as normal, and we need to get a lot of people out on a Tuesday evening to make it successful.
No RSVP required. Show up when you can. Stay as long as you like.
Our main objective is to make the public aware of America 250 and who we are and give them the opportunity to try an authentic American colonial era ale. There are 1000’s of craft breweries, but this is only one available of which we are aware.
Please note that we had a kick off event back in May to “tap the keg” of the special ale which the recipe dates back to the Revolutionary War. George Stewart’s brother from South Carolina was the provider of the recipe which was a big hit. The previous blog post is attached below which provides more information about the history of the “brew”.

Always wanted to be a bartender? Here is your chance!
We are also looking for people in uniform or colonial attire to serve as Patriot guest bartenders in ½ hour shifts. You may portray (or claim to be) a famous person from Revolutionary War times if you wish (that is encouraged). Anyone who is interested please contact Scott Freeman at DSFreeman@fuse.net . More information about that program is also attached. You will have 5 minutes of training and full bar staff support during your shift. Mainly you will chat up the customers and be “face of the event” for a time. Please note, no drinking before or during shift, but you will receive a complementary beer at the end of your shift.
