On Wednesday evening April 3rd, the Cincinnati Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution held their monthly membership meeting.
This event is held regularly at the Montgomery Inn in downtown Montgomery on the first Wednesday of the month. Our next meeting is May 1st on Wednesday.
The group can come early at about 5:30PM to partake in some wonderful Montgomery Inn food. This is an opportunity to browse and catch up with members, cover some upcoming events and simply enjoy each others company.
The official start time of the meeting is at 7:00PM and runs until about 9:00PM.
During this meeting we had a new member Paul George inducted into our chapter. He was sponsored by Gregg Ballman.
Gordon Stokely presented his topic on “DNA Testing for Genealogy Presentation” as part of our monthly speaker series / Chapter Exchange. This “Chapter Exchange” is a new part to our monthly meetings. Members can volunteer to share their knowledge with other members. We collectively have a lot of knowledge and experiences related to SAR and this is a great opportunity to share with others. Jeff Hartman received a Silver 250th Medal
Mike Gunn received a Youth Education Medal recognizing his ongoing contribution to sharing the American Revolutionary cause with our school youth.
Our next meeting will be at the Montgomery Inn in downtown Montgomery on Wednesday May 1st at 5:30 for the pre-meeting and 7:00PM for the official meeting start.
