“Battle of Yorktown” as presented by Dr. Ed Bonniwell – Friday May 24th

One of the primary missions of the Sons of the American Revolution is to share the history of the American Revolution.

This education is shared to young and old alike.  We feel it is important for citizens to understand and remember the great sacrifices taken by these early patriots to create a nation of free individuals and install a brand new form of government where the people determine its leaders.

On Friday May 24th, Dr. Ed Bonniwell took time to make a presentation on the “Battle of Yorktown” to new residents of the Bayle Retirement Center in Greene Township.

Ed Bonniwell has a long standing relationship with the management of this new facility (“it is wonderful”).  The center is brand new and is now leasing up the available apartments.

Ed presented to thirty-one residents / visitors and the audience was very interested in Ed’s story of the battle that occurred towards the end of the conflict.

There was a lot of questions from the audience and Ed was happy to share his extensive knowledge of the American Revolutionary time frame.
